Hi Gang!
Ok I have hit the moth-er load this year!
My wife loves me more than I could ever imagine.
I got a 4x4 quad runner for ice fishing
  New skiers snow bibs
A case of those foot warmers
  a underwater camera
  a trailer already plated
a new scout cover as my scout cover was worn.
she ordered 4 custom new Slick and stick .com ice rods custom built for me.
She did this all on her own!  She got everything absolutely right too!
She sent my LX-3 in for a check up and had it up graded to a LX-3tc
This summer she let me buy a skeeter bass boat too!

She is my snow angel and I hope I can figure out what she wants without asking.
She is the best thing I still have period.  All the rest is just fun extra stuff to play with!

       Happy holidays!
I have my wife for my XMass present thats all I really need. 27 years now to infinity we will walk hand in hand!
  Da-Roc

Bro - If you ever decide to trade her in I will take her!!!

I just want to use my brand new popup that I got last year and never really got to use!  :'(

Sitting on the pier with it and fishing over the edge doesn't count!  >:(

O.K. maybe some kind of heater this year.

I see the NWS is calling for a mild winter. That means cooooooooooold. I've seen it before several times where you get the reverse of what they say. Let's hope that's the case.
I live in the midwest now but have fond memories of fishing in New England as a kid.

You mean taxidermy competition? I never went to the Indiana show as I had an expensive plumbing bill at the last minute and business was slow that winter for obvious reasons.

Yes, I probably will along with a few other regional shows. You do realize they don't judge by the size or anything right? It's how accurate your recreation of the fish is i.e. anatomy, paint job etc.

Thank you for the kind words.

Just ordered a Nils 8" hand auger from Fish307. Heard too many good things about these. Gotta try one out.  ;D
More to go!

Russ,
I see your from Portage. Do you have any opinion on where to take a gas auger for repair? I was going to try that place on 700N just West of 149. Looks like you have all the toys and may have been down this path. It probably just needs points and carb cleaning, a change of the plug will last 3 holes. I may need to put another item on my Christmas list.

Only if I get a bigger one!  ;)

I checked state records and I believe it ties third place for the biggest yellow perch ever caught.  ;D

Nope a private pond in the front yard facing highway 33 about 2 miles south of Ligonier. If you see a tall log home south of the high school with a taxidermy sign on the road that's where it is.

It would be a state record but since I feed fish in that pond it's a no go. Never mind the IDNR says in a pond management manual that feeding fish is a waste of time.  ;D Very few of the perch in that pond feed on pellets anyway. The  pellet trained bass won't let them.

That would be great. Last year it acted up during a road trip and that puts a hurt on the action. I ended up buying a hand 8" as a back up but that's for the birds up North w 36" of ice. Keeps you out on the ice though.

I just picked up a new Aqua-View at Gander in Merriville and the lady checking me out rang it up wrong so I got it for $75 instead of the original price of $125. :o  Any tips on using one of these things?? I tried to use it on Lake Michigan when I was perch fishing but the waves were too much I think.

Hmmm "points"? I really doubt it. points went out with leaded gasoline. Probably too rich, you can adjust the carb screws without danger of seizing. If you don't run stabilizer in your gas it could be varnished up. Maybe undo the carb bowl and see what it looks like.
