Re spooled all my spinning reels with pline. Ordering another jack trap and some sleeves to protect my traps. Following the advice of Roccus I put all new leadere hooks and buttons on all my tip ups at the end of the season.  Im ready to go pretty much.

the pline is flouro or hyrbid? I hate the stretch and memory of mono even if there is a flouro coating

its a copolymer. I use 4lb test which is very thin but you will be blown away by its strength. I bet its spec at 7lb test easy. has little to no memory. The 2lb test is also very good it is very limber and ties easy although I use a palomar knot for 2lb test. I use this exclusive on all my ice rods. It is the best Ive found IMO

well I'm finally done monkeying around, rebuilding, building and arranging along with honey do's...
I built some tip ups for friends, and one to donate to an ice fishing seminar I'm doing for the Plum Island surfcasters..

I drop the hammer right after Christmas..

I added a new arrow to the quiver this year , they don't fit my style of fishing but there is always a niche.. these little beasts should fit nicely..

Love your adjustable rod length base and holder features, plus the flag mechanism too, Joe!

Same trigger mechanism I’ve akways used, I did however over time evolve to getting rid of the flag and put a piece of flouro duct tape on the end of the rod tip, I prefer it.

Started with crutches so you could adjust but ended up finding I could make a generic length for most needs

The flag is easily removed, it is held in by a 10-32 knob... the trigger fires easily, ice fishing is a gsme of survival, the simpler the better,  I made brass pins to change the angle and position of the rod, it accommodates rods 28 to 40"..

For those not familiar with these set ups.... best to stay "out of range" when viewing or setting up the first few times. >:D
