This guy shows how to do the build.

Nice - wonder if anyone has put a parts list together for this build?

Nice - wonder if anyone has put a parts list together for this build?

This was in the description section of the Youtube video:

010-12676-10 Ice Fishing Pole Mount
010-11425-04 Right Angle LS Power Cord
010-12445-00 Echomap Plus Power Cord
010-12673-03 Extra Bail Mount if going on a boat or kayak

You will have to assemble the DIY cord to run both batteries in parallel and also add a charging port.
Pretty much all power to one connection and all grounds to another.

It is a lot of money for something that will be better and cheaper in a few more years when they get the bugs worked out along with copycats. I remember paying $800 for my first vcr.

Yup...when you are older you will realize that a "few more years" is actually worth much more than a few bucks spent on a fish finder. Some of us may only have a "few more years" left of quality ice fishing.

Beyond that, I can catch a lot of fish in a few more years...probably enough to amortize some serious costs for a better finder.  Not for everybody yet, but worth it to many.

Yup.  My thoughts go to the last two justifications, for sure.  Just putting the whole thing in perspective; it is now on my Amazon XMAS wishlist to my wife.
Not worried about "bugs" - Garmin will fix any of those with updates.
