Crappieloo....there must have been some reason for them to take those measures,as I'm sure the border control knows that almost all americans have guns at home....don't cha?

I use to go see him every year at the Ottawa Folk Festival when i lived there. He played at the Black Bull on the Quebec side, great bar.

The reason was unknown? Or they were nosey? Or they were jelous? They took a burn when he said its really not your business what i have at home. Obviouslly he wasnt bringing anything into the country because of the complete search they did.

This is what I'm curious about. What the hell is wrong with owning guns anyway. Mine are all legal the crooks guns are all illegal. What good do the gun control laws due. Like the crooks are going to respect those laws.

Well if we all followed the gun control mind set alcohol and motor vehicles would be illegal. Some people who drink drive drunk and kill other people therefore alcohol should be illegal. Some people are bad drivers and end up killing people, crooks use vehicles during the course of committing a crime there fore vehicles should be illegal.

You guys are missing the point. ''They'' were trying to control legal , locked up firearms by a honest citzen of who lives in a different country and the guns are in that COUNTRY!!
Point is he should have lied and said i dont own any guns!
Maybe they should have asked '' have you ever had a drink and driven a car in the USA? I wonder what would happen if he told the truth?
Or, he could have said '' no way guns are too hard to buy in the USA so i'm coming here to buy some''.

Ok So this topic has gotten way off point..so who am I to stop it...getting back to Canadian Music..here is a list of out top Bands...and some we are ashamed of

Somehow I think your firend getting a hard time at the border has little to do with our Gun Control laws and more to do with whatever was said between him the CO.

I spend at least 3 weeks a year fishing in Canada. I have never had a problem at the border , in the water or anywhere!

They dont arrest poeple at the border if they own guns in the states and those guns are at there residence. simple as that.

I'm a Canuck and I don't think someone needs to lie about owning guns to get into our country. What we need is intelligent people in government, but I can't see that happening.
The morons in Ottawa figure that when the law was passed the criminals would comply(sitting at computer shaking head) and hand over there guns, or at least register them(now laughing uncontrollably). Whatever you do down South, don't let them take your right to own guns.
