Hey IdahoGator, You don't live to far from me :)You could come up and ice fish for some bass. or maybe this summer you can come do some bass fishing on Duck lake Here! lots of 3-5lbers and also a lot bigger than that are quite common! Always love stopping in sandpoint on the way back home to Iowa to see fam in summer. Thinking of getting an Idaho license for summer!

Where do you find this stuff?? I always get big pike while perch fishing! Then when I'm Pike fishing they get finnicky cant get 'em to bite unless I take the leader off, then guess what happens. ::)

Cabela's has the toothy critter, and they also sell the tieable wire that the American Wire Company sells as well.

Favorite perch lure is the Swedish Pimple with the chartreuse yellow tape (2FYN), but gotta love the smaller buckshot rattle spoon as well.

Cool thread because I like fooling around making or adjusting my tackle. Thanks, guys.

BUT -  how do you attach a chain with welded links to the lure and the hook?

Spoons I like buckshots. I have never used a drop hook. I might have to try that. For jig heads, anything that is how in the dark with an orange head seems to work for me.

What color size and  style of GULP please?
I am planning to come to Montana this winter and have a daughter in Columbia Falls I can operate from .
I specialize on yellow perch and walleyes since I fish Lake Erie a lot.
Trout is great too since I prefer to jig.
Any suggestion for a guide with transportation if needed?
Thanks in advance.
I am happy to trade a trip for walleye if you wish.
Thanks for you reply.

I use Pete's Tackle whip tail slightly modified with a small treble hook when I can fish with live minnows.  Other wise I have a handful of smaller flashy jigs that seem to work.
