So I'm still a little unclear as to what exactly the graph part on the LX7 shows you? I've used flashers, and the vertical bar on my showdown, so those parts I'm really familiar with. Can anyone explain the graph part a little more?  like what the pic below on the left of the screen is showing?

That is "history" and I could never fish out it. You can see where your lure has been, which is what that is showing. You can see what the fish have done to anticipate as well.

on that image the person has his depth set wrong, so it is up too high and not pushed all of the down to the bottom of the screen.

my post with an image on page one shows what they do, but maybe not enough words.
an open water fish finder is graph only. some use them graph only to fish ice, but they have no IR and some have display issues and are often too wide of cone angle. i use the 8 degree cone angle the most.
so not only is it a history of what happened, its also a current chart of what is happening, but its not as simple as a flash. thats how flashers got their name, it flashes info only for that split second. fish finders or graphs are different in the way it shows the data it has.
