Small perch and other junk fish can be used for fertilizer or pet food. My dogs have eaten hundreds of pounds of fish. Before feeding I rip out the dorsal fin with pliers and bake the fish in a low temperature oven to kill any parasites. It's a good quality protein for dogs, cats, ferrets and other carnivores.
