One if the wind was right I probably could smell it andyah he ain't on a bucket and he has a gas auger and I could definitely throw something at him and do damage but its all good cause the current pulling his way and really gotta take a duece. HaHa for him. Not that I would do that but bears do sh-t in the woods

These gas augers  are getting annoying
It's not that fishing is so important, it's just that so many things in life are so much less important

I figure it's time to post on here. Life have been very hectic lately with family but it's time to get back into the ice fishing mode. Went out last weekend with S10Xr and caught a few. Hopefully my next trip down will include the sled.

Gotta out fish him next time he's gettin a little cocky lol

Same thing happens during deer and turkey season. Lotsa inconsiderate idiots out there. Sad thing is, they probably don't even realize what a##holes they are.

I may be old and crotchety  but when anyone is to close to me, they soon know it..  I am in the sunny South for the winters now but when I fished hard water it was not a pleasant thing to move in too close.  People for a mile around would know what my feelings were....  Once you establish a reputation  you won`t be bothered that much.......

I love it when you drill a bunch of holes and people start fishing them before you had a chance to

I usually have an idea where I want to fish, if there's someone already there I go talk to them before I even drill a hole. You can tell pretty quick if you want to be anywhere near them and how much space to give them. If I'm hopping around I just give them space now that I'm usually on the snowmobile.

The truck went through last night. I talked to one of the guys and he told me nobody was hurt. I can't imagine trying to get that thing out. Dusty's Underwater Recovery out of Lake George helped me when I went through with the four wheeler last year. Their number is (518) 796-8966...probably one you'll want to throw in the Rolodex just in case. It is never a pleasant experience, but small machines (four wheelers, sleds, etc.) have to be much easier to extract than a vehicle.

Well right now I'm sitting on 3-4" of black with 2 white on top SE end of lake. Will post pic with tape measure in hole later.  I moved over to the next hump because my 1st choice had less  and was close to a crack.
Bite was hot this morning, but more shorts than I've ever caught in a day. Ratio of 6-7 to 1 shorts to legal.
One was only 6-7".  Almost all eyes today. Couple whites in the mix. No yellows which is weird.  This is one of my perch spots.

Got out for a few hours this morning and managed 4 shorts and 1 keeper.  No perch.  Had some really agressive walleyes suspended 16-20 down over 36' that I  mostly lost at or near the hole, but I saw enough of them to know they were 'eyes.

Saw the truck through the ice at Valentines beach.  That should be fun trying to get out.  I had about 6-7" of good ice where I was, don't think I'd take a truck out on that.

I just got home from godfreys. Ice was good. 6-8 inches were I drilled. Started just shy of the drop-off in 13' and moved 0ut to 33'. Landed 13 eyes and dropped 6 more. Mostly shorts. Perch seemed a bit skittish but landed 8 nice ones.

Ended up with only 1 18" keeper. Lost a dandy at the hole. Friggin hook on the end of my jiggin rap got caught on the bottom of my hole...also got 5 or 6 shorts. On my way in I tried a spot and got a lot of 8 1/2-9" perch. Tossed em all back. Not the jumbos that I want..

Sorry for those who sent me a PM this morning. Was running late.

Nice to see you this morning Boggey, how did you make out? Hopefully we can get out sometime next week...

The North shore fished very well for me this morning in 25'.  3 keeper 'eyes and 8 14"ers that went back.  Perch bite was slow but ended up with 5 between 11 and 13".  Great morning on the ice.  5" of good ice with about 4-5" of snow made for not too bad of a walk.

I got my first oneida ice walleye this morning. Ended the day with two eyes and 2 perch.  Lost 3-4 more fish due to various reasons. Never found any water deeper than 19 if i am reading the flasher right.

Seemed like fishing 15 min at a hole then moving 20 feet, fishing moving, making a circle of holes was the only thing that got me into fish... The first big eye i caught, was in someone elses hole that had left.

Most everyone i talked to had the same report, nothing.

South Shore, Williams....

Fished out of lp this morning. Got 2 shorts, a jumbo perch a white perch, and a big  sheep head which was fun catch on my 18 inch rod with 3 pound test. I had to force the thing out of a 6 inch hole almost didn't get it out.

Well my curse has been lifted...I caught my first keeper eye through the ice and then 20 more after that one...I lost just as many fish and broke off a Huge Pickerel at the hole...I had my limit before 8 o'clock and just experimented and learned until 10 or so...a few of you out there have given me some pointers and today it paid off...thank you! You know who you are...I finally got to experience a hot bite...it was a beautiful morning and there were a ton of shanties covering the horizon...I have always been able to figure out certain ways and certain types of fish but for some reason Eyes through the ice is the biggest fishing challenge I have had...good to be humbled and even better to finally have some success... :) :)

KP was ready to fight this morning LOL  :o :o ;D ;D...good to see you and Jr again in the parking lot, hope you got into them!
