Wards bait shop. Rte 52 in newburgh ny for anything and everything you need for any type of fishing open 7 days a week and had all types of bait and great deals on equipment.

The Sportsmen Den in Whitney Point is permanently closed!!! The best bait shop around if you are coming to Whitney Point is owned by Don David: TOPLINE LURE AND BAIT 2138-2 on rt. 26 about three miles past the entrance to Dorchester park. His place is on the right if you are heading north. He has anything you need to ice fish including information. (607)692-4154 I think his hours are 6-6. He might be closed sundays though. P.S. If you see Kemak or Carr Rd. you went to far.

My grandparents owned cookies bait and tackle for many years. They opened shop back in the 70's in Bridgeport (few miles south of Oneida lake) was under a different name, but was around for many years. They closed shop and my grandmother reopened some years later and she has been going strong for a good 20+ years. Huge variety of jigs and spinners commonly used for walleye fishing. Sells all bait types from salted minnows in the spring to crayfish, minnows, leeches, nightcrawlers and more during the summer. There were rumors going around the shop would be closed for good due to a death in the family, but the shop will remain open.

Opens april 1st starting trout season. Open all night/morning opening day for pike

Like to add to the bait list Hilltop Bait Shop located in Afton NY good people to deal with call for location can't remember how I got there but call them 607-437-1108 they have lots of bait and a nice little shop.
Other one is The Bait shop Leland pond located just down the road from Leland pond and hatches old bait shop. He has a vending machine out front the sells bait and a huge selection of all kinds of tackle minnow are located inside store. Call him525-2556 ask for Pete

Hi! Just wanted to let everyone know that Saratoga Tackle (now Saratoga Tackle, Archery & Gifts) after 14 years on Saratoga Lake for several reasons had to relocate. We're now in Schuylerville. 111 Green St beside Subway shop, it's actually the corner of Rte. 29 & Green St. on the right as you head into town from Saratoga. the old ackermans in castile ny was bought by a guy named Rob Pattterson he is selling bait still mon through sat open at 6am till 730pm open till 5pm on sat. he said if there is a tournament he would be willing to open as early as needed and would even open on sunday too. if he had a few days notice. also wound buy extra bait so there would be enough for every one. shop phone 585-493-2810 address 63 s. main st castile ny 14427

Just wanted to say Sportsman Adventures on Southside in Oneonta is STOCKED with bait. Three or four different kinds of minnows and a fridge full of spikes and maybe some other things.

I believe it was called Buffa's and it closed in the middle of the summer. According to the note left on the door it was shut down.

Rochester has a fishing show on the radio called Let's Go Fishing. It says it is hosted by Bayside Boat and Tackle. I thought that they stopped selling bait in the winter a few years ago. Does anyone know if they started selling bait again?

Update. Top Line no longer sells bait. Only place to get bait in Whitney Point is Whitney Point Preppers on Main Street by rr tracks. Opens at 7AM on weekends.

Whitney Point Preppers is closed. There are no minnows right now in Whitney Point. Ernie's in Richford or the baitshop in Chenango Forks.
