Awesome shanty guys! I have been converting a pop-up into a hardside and been wondering how I was going to jack up and stabilize on the ice. I notice your scissor jacks on your shanty and was wondering if they were welded to the frame or portable, also where did you find them and the cost. looks like a great idea that maybe I could use on mine. Thanks.

We got them at harbor freight tools, could not find them anywhere else. We just used some real heavy Tek self drilling screws with washers, and secured them to the frame that way....they worked good. Very happy with them so far. I think they cost about 30 bucks a piece.....watch for their coupons and probably get em for 15bucks.

The wrap around benches are 26" deep and long, they will sleep 2. And plenty of floor space for an air bed or a cot or even just a sleeping bag. Should sleep 3 adults comfortably if needed.

In the off season you can sell hot dogs, soda and chips out of it or put flags, ballons and streamers on it and drag it down the street in parades! I got the package on saturday and will be shopping for the other things this week. I will call you to hook up this week.

This thing looks awesome… and I say "thing" because the term "shanty" or "shack" just doesn't seem to be appropriate.

Love the attention to detail and finishing touches throughout… hope you have an open house once it is on the ice.

JimmyRig,

Sorry I'm slightly off topic here but between some of what you're saying, and the shack in your profile pic, I'm 99% certain I purchased the shack I'll be using this year from you. The log cabin style one?

 Hey Timmy,

You are right on... You have got a great shanty there.... we had tons of fun in that thing! We just needed a little bigger for all the kids. You should post a pic of that log cabin shack on here. I think most will appreciate it. Did you make the changes you were talking about? Also feel free to contact me and come on out to Ossipee some time.

Last I checked ice was around 6" we are putting the shack out the first of the year, probably the 31. I can't wait to get out there.... Been putting the finishing touches on the shack and getting the four wheelers ready, tire chains and oil changes etc...

New pics coming in about an hour.
