That's how they served them to me in a N.C. restaurant. 1 lb'rs, dipped, fried, with greens, cornbread and sweet tea.

Oh man... that sounds so good!

Few things make me homesick... food is one of them.

I think the name of the place was "Merts", downtown Charlotte. Rode my bike down in October, through some snow in West Virginia, soaking rains after that. Ate at a table right on the sidewalk, 10 in the morning. They gave you all that (2 cats)and everything else for $7.50. ;D I was so happy I gave the waitress a $10 tip. I think it made her week! :o
I wish I was in heaven sittin down..........on a 5 gallon pail!

When holding a Pout hold your hand so that it keeps there three fins flat against there side and back. They have  three spines  one on each Pectoral fin forward,One spine on the forward edge of the dorsal fin . A puncture from one of these hurts like a sting and sometimes hurts for days.Like a sting.

the dorsal fin and the two pec fins on either side of the head have sharp, hard spines in them that hurt like heck if they get you with them!
