man your lucky here its windy cloudy and low 40's when i look out the window it looks like its time to ice fish then all i see is green grass

I think that it would be weird to have ice as long as some of you guys have it. But open waters alright too one thing it good for is take the boat out and locate structure for the next time we can walk on it. we have had no ice here since april 2nd but we went up north the day it was coming off and fished but it took a 20 foot ladder to get on the ice up there so we did not have much time left.

Ahhh shucks guys, we only need a month of open water to locate structure. I can have 8 months of ice but I'd like 11. Guess I should move up to the artic.

man i woke up today it was 24 degrees out but i know the afternoon sun is going to move in and bring it up to the 50's then thunderstorms all day saturday not to good for making new ice

This is the way I see it. The expanded archery season is only 4 months and a week and a half away here in Maine. when it gets here, then regular hunting season with gun is only two months away. after that if the guy has the floats we can start smelting and a month after that Ice fishing season opens

As I sit here pondering cutting the grass

I'm overhauling my Snowblower this summer so I'll be ready to clear my driveway even faster because the faster I can get the driveway clear the faster I can go Ice Fishing.

well its 20 after 8 and 33 degrees and rainy as heck and supposed to turn over to snow later this afternoon maybe some will stick and i can build a snowman and put a pole in his hand

Drove 8 hours in snow yesterday.snowed off and on all day sat. went to winnipeg manitoba for a wedding over the weekend.Saw a shack and a snowmobile on a trailer in ND .

Jim caught 1/2 Bucket of White Perch Sun Iced them down and pulled um out one

it snowed here most of the day yesterday nothing stuck but the snow was coming down good at times and this morning i had to warm up the wifes van and scrape also 32 degrees right now but i have a feeling mother nature is screwing with me

Buddy got back from the mountain lake we like to go to. Says its getting a little soft on the top. Still 24 inches of solid black ice. Cooler temps overnight should resolidify. They pulled 10 rainbow thru the ice. Biggest was 3.2lbs. All ice on our low level lakes is gone with small amount left on north facing shores.
