I just got back from fishing in Michigan, I was drilling like crazy...over a foot of ice, the Eskimo worked well indeed!!  Ended up with pike crappie and bluegill. Kind of slow fishing but the lake was big, wish we had a couple more days to explore but we needed to be back today. Anyway, I had a great trip. I may try mosquito in the afternoon/evening, I have to go thru all my gear tomorrow and reorganize it. Want to hit it Sunday though for sure. I don't think I'll ever drill a hole manually again :)
Let me know how you make out

Anyone do any good today at mosquito? I fished off Linda's w a buddy from 2-7 and didn't have a bite. Just wondering if any other part of the lake had any production

fished the cemetery from noon till 7.  caught 4 crappie-3 keepers.
there was a ton of shantys off 305 & ten just north off us. got two huge ones in about 30 minutes( a 15.5")
threw one back-then they shut off.kept marking them but no takers, lost two, missed a few too.
good to be out though

Any news on how much ice got trashed the last 3 days?  That wind is relentless.  Its cold, but it just keeps screaming.

The ice is gone.  Considering the weather forecast, I bet there will be good ice early next week.

I drove out there yesterday afternoon and there was still ice on most of lake but water on it in spots. Open water by bait shop but the ice came up to the edges at cemetery and bouy line. It was crappy and soft, no way you could walk on it but at least it was there. Unless we lost it all lastnight. Ill probably be wasting the gas again to check it tomorrow

I was told there were 2 ft waves today. Calling Causeway sport shop is a good way to find out what is going on. Yesterday I went too east branch by the dam and there was ice in the bays, the rest was open.
