13* calm with the sun popping out occasionally. Ice marginal at best, tested on a small private water, 2" of frozen honeycomb on top of 1"-2" of good ice (mildly air bubbled black ice in the cracks). Maybe after Christmas, sure some local "Heroes" will try and hope they use their common sense

high to day of 50*F currently 41*F barley any snow on the ground. hope the lake hold out till Monday. i got about 7 inches on my lake so i don't think it is going any ware fast. but hope they last a little longer and don't take as long to get back on.

Grab your insulateds and all your cold weather gear. Here is an interpretation of one of the more accurate weather models for the week of/after New Years.
Shows temps on the 7th of 50* below normal in Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin. A relatively warm 35* below normal here because of Lake Michigan. IF it's accurate, it would be a 5 day period with an average high around 5*, and an average low around -12*.

8*- 2" of snow and still coming down. At least we made some ice beforehand, "experts" calling for anywhere between 4" - 8" but these situations can get out of hand easily. In a sarcastic manner, nice start to the New Year, seems it's the Southern counties turn for anxiety
