I got this on Saturday, he is my second deer of my life... perfect shot right though the heart at 15 yards, has a very nice rack for a 4 pointer, my dad was very proud!

Ouch! I did that a few years ago while gutting a deer. Went to cut the wind pipe and instead got my thumb.   :P

Here is my 8 pointer from last weeeknd.
Mr. Esox gave me the heads up that there was a nice buck in the area by his house so I sat for 4 days and passed on many smaller bucks and then he finally showed up and I didn't miss my opportunity.

I shot (poorly) a nice six on October 6th with the bow. Didn't see much rest of bow season until the last day when I had to pass a small 8pt not having a buck tag. Spent some of the gun season trying to get Heather a deer. I missed a buck at 30yds with the shotgun while sitting in the blind with her, her and the buck were in a stare down so she had no chance to shoot. Last Sunday she got her first deer, nice doe that weighed in at 130lbs dressed. She made a good shot at 25yds or less. I'm still looking for another buck, but I've had four in bow range already so it's been my best season by a large margin.

Heathers First Deer.

My Buck from Oct 6th. I left the buck over night and everything past the front shoulders was gone, coyotes.

Maybe off on some high cold mountain chain.
