Very nice cat!!!!!! I have heard somewhere that Catfish doesnt taste as good when caught through the ice? Is this true? It seems to me they would be better...

Every cat I ever caught through the ice always where better eating. It also depends on the size, the bigger they are their not as good eating no matter hard or soft water. Two to Three lb cat throught the ice is about the best cat your going to eat.....

I agree with that. I think 5-6lbs is probably the biggest I'd keep. Cats are not my favorite fish anyways... I'd much rather get into some eyes, crappie or perchies.

Took my Dad and Sister fishing today at Bass lake. We caught a TON of perch! The PK's were working great.

He won't let me drive the truck yet but the tractor is a different story! Thanks everybody. It was probably the best perch day i've ever had. We caught at least 45!

that is a nice pic looks good. y was there littel pices of ice on top of the othere. looks almost 3D like

Ratfink, not sure why the photo showed up like that. There were those extraverted frost crystals everywhere and it showed up like that on the camera. Im still waitin for a unicorn to run out of that mystical looking stuff.

Last hoorah for the hardwater season on Boysen today. Awesome day as the fishing was non stop for us. The very right one weighed in at a little over 6lbs and the one next to it was a little over 5lbs.

Guess during spawn the majority of their diet is baitfish (acording to MSU)

Red Dot Glow was working today also.
