Not sure if bragging is the best word, maybe "justification" or "redemption" fits better most times, "proof" is even a better word. LOL

Keep the pics flowing though!

Good question.  I patrol around alot on quite a few fishing sites.  A lot of guys brag without posting pics.  "I was on lake so and so and me and a buddy limited out on eyes".  To me, posting your catch, justifies your report.  I dont know each and everyone of you personally, so why would I take everyones word?  Posting a pic validates everything as far as the success goes.  Just my .02 cents!
this is exactly why I will never post a single picture or give a morsel of info of what I caught or where I caught them...to many guys "patrolling" looking for handouts...because as soon as someone posts a pic of a limit of crappies or walleye the very next post is "nice catch...where'd ya catch em? How deep? PM me if ya want"...I find that hilarious!

Unless there are pictures, I don't spend much time reading reports... A lot of guys think I'm full of crap untill I back my reports up with pictures.  ;D I love seeing different parts of the country, the fish, the gear and the guys doing the fishing. It ain't bragging in my book, the more pics, the better!

hell yeah its bragging!!! when you rub it in to your buddies face that you caught the big one, its always better to have picture proof! if we didnt care about the size of the fish, we wouldnt be taking pictures of them in the first place

it is kind of bragging yes but I like to see what everyone is catching and how big the fish actually are since us fishermen like to tell the so called "fish story" about the one that got away....  ;)

just to show you what I think about this topic here let me know what you think about these.....  ;D

In some ways I see it as bragging, in other ways pictures legitimize a post.

I personally love seeing/posting pictures and video! Thats one of the main reasons we are all here. Pictures and videos give us stuff to talk about and help us share information. The more the better in my opinion!

I thought that posting pictures was the 1/2 the point... the other half being having a bunch of other ice fishing enthusiasts helping you spend money!  ;D

Not enough ice or time... not necessarily in that order.

No it is not bragging, if it is then reading about your favorite football team in the paper is bragging to. And it is not ,it is an accomplishment.   Jerry

Yep pics are fun no doubt...but if you wanna keep producing those kind of bragging photos then I suggest removing where your from and what lake you caught em out of...just go look at how many ppl "lurked" on this page as opposed to chiming in and conversing...just wait til the conditions boards are rolling  :o

My .02 cents worth ...Pics only with no report  = bragging.... Pics with a report = validation....reports with no pics just another fish story...lol

I enjoy fish porn looking and posting as much as anyone and love looking at the fish pics....don't all need to be trophies either...
