Hey, just an FYI on Ice condition. on The west end the bridge WAS still mounted to solid ice, HOWEVER it has turned into a floating center, and by floating, your probably going to be stepping in about a foot of water standing on the bridge.   past that, getting past the trees is most likely going to lead to someone going in the water, the ice getting from the bridge to the main opening of the access is very soft, and the ice going through the trees is EXTREMELY weak, so anyone who is thinking about trying for one more trip onto the ice, may want to consider going somewhere other than Box Butte   :(.  Just my  $0.02

Have fun,be safe, & Tight lines

How is ice out at this lake? Do the pike feed good then? How bout walleye? Thinking about heading out there with the boat as soon as it clears.

Stopped yesterday and it looked like it was 95% open. Could get a boat on easy. There was a little ice by the dam and it was open as far west as i could see from the boat dock
