I dont think the small mouth was caught on a jig $:-\$ I catch them that size in my traps every now and then. I could be wrong but im just saying.

This has really been an awesome pic thread, smallest fish i caught this year was an 11 inch pike no pics sadly it was caught before i knew of this thread. Hope to see this one continue in years to come.

Grab the deep sea fishing gear and buy a bigger boat!! Growing up, I was taught the true test of a fisherman was to be able to feel and catch the small one's. After that, the big one's are easy.

Very neat post,I like it.

I have a few small fish to post.

This is one of the smaller pike I have caught is quite some time.

It was caught last open water season.

Here is a small carp caught on a worm in the summer of 2011.

It was quite like the goldfish you see in the pet shops.

A smaller pike from a few winters ago.

Some of my smaller perch.

Little walleye, maybe 1 lb.

Not a fish, but still a fairly small water critter.
It hung onto my lure all the way in and then dropped off on shore.

All the little fish {and cray fish} went back to get a bit bigger.

I think that any fish is worthy of a photo, be it big or small.

Believe it or not I once won a walleye tournament with a 4.2oz fish only one caught, it was embarrassing but i accepted any way.

I hit Adirondack lake today with the Mrs. in search of some really small perch. At first I was not doing well:

Then I started hitting the small perch and all was good!

very windy day but beautiful scenery:

My wife tried for the smallest pike:

She did get a nice bass:

But she did end the day with the biggest fish:
