Haven't been there in a while, but million dollar beach usually has late access at least it has in past years.  Just walk the beach and look for the most solid ice.

second that

I think my season is over. Yesterday my son & I were planning to fish, I went to his place to pick him up while loading his gear I stepped into a hole & tore my calf muscle. We still stated to go & when we stopped to get our mornong coffee there was a short lip coming out of the place, I made the mistake & stepped off w/my good leg first & tore it even more. So I can hardly walk on dry ground let alone on ice. Hopefully, if I stay off it for a couple of days I'll be able to get out next week.

sounds like the way your day was going you were better off staying on land  ;)

Hope you feel better, friend.  Hope you're able to get back out there sooner than you think.

Went out today. In the northwest bay ice was still a foot thick. Got 2 lakers bite was slow . If you go out you might need a ramp our plank.

It happened on dry land, thats the thing the ice is safer. I'd rather be out fishing on ice than all the hazards on land. I'll be out probably in 2-3 days I hope, I'm not going to push it if I can't walk normally I won't go. :(

Just got back, I finished up 8 for 9.  Morning bite was great.  After that it slowed quite a bit until I picked up the last one about 3:00.  Ice was talking much of the morning.  Gotta love making ice on March 25th!

8 for 9 here too....  just broke it to the wife i'm going in the morning.......   :o

Vets is fine . I walked right out with no plank in one spot .but I would advise using a plank . Anyways.
