Heard that mid lake in front on Lanzis is still open water, I would bet it will freeze over tonight though.

I am new to IS, interested in the Walleye Tourney but heard that it often sells out. Is there a limit on the number of people who can enter?

I spoke to Lou from fuel-n-food yesterday and he said, a lot of people come from out of town so it's enough of a heads up. The reason for measuring 9" off sinclair point, leads to the conclusion there will be about 11-12" of ice just about everywhere else on the lake.

Does anyone know if the ice thickness applies to the GSLFF tourney?  Or will that go on regardless?

Thanks.

I'm headed up to the great sacandaga lake the weekend of the 22nd, does anyone know of any local places where I can lodge ? I'll be with around 2-5 people. Im looking for a cabin, house on the water, cottage, maybe a local motel near the lake, we don't need much just need a shower stove and a couple
Beds. We are also looking to target northern pike. We normally just use large shiners, creek chubs, or suckers. Anyone have any info on pike fishing up there too ?? Sorry asking a lot traveling almost 5 hours and want a heads up with gettin on some fish. Thanks in advance !!

Hey Cody, I'm heading there the 17th and 18th so I've been looking too. There's the Flip Inn in northville right by the water 90 bucks for a double very close to Daves bait and Blue Moon motel in Broadalbin about 10 min south of the lake 75 cash for a double. Basic accommodations. There's nicer places but they are further away. Two bait shops on the west shore too.

As for pike, I'm going in pretty blind but I've read almost every sacandaga thread in this site. Lots of info on here, pretty much find structure and you'll find fish. I guess there's a bunch of stump fields but I haven't been able to pinpoint locations yet but I'm working on it.
