3 in. this morning on about half acre pond...takin half day tommarow gettin out for sure

Was told one the old timer diehards was on the canal at the sheffield.  Was about 3" as I was told.  Guess I will be fishing this weekend forsure but may have to sneek out after work one nite.

Plenty of ice on Prospect Pond here in the Quad Cities.  I'll be getting out this week for sure.  Welcome 2010-2011 ice fishing season!

Looks like the stars have aligned for me to make my first holes Saturday the 11th. I'll be out there with the rest of the diehards on Neilson's Channel bright and early Saturday morning.

I'll be on Pistakee with the rest of the Panfish Mafia goofs.  We have a good time.  I'll be there at 5 a.m.  There's 3" of ice right now.  There should be 4" by this weekend.  Slam some gills, Crappie, and walleye.  The White Bass areas are going to be iffy.

My first ice was today, 12/7, at Nielsen's. A few people out there, bite started out slow from 8 to 10, then picked up.  Ended up bringing home 29 "keepers", had to sort through a lot of fish, only a handful of fish over 8 inches.  It was my first time fishing Nielsens, had to clue it was so shallow, I couldn't find any water deeper than 3 feet, which makes it hard to use the Vex.

Yay, everything is frozen.  Even 180ft deep Lake Geneva is half frozen.  Great morning to be out.  3 slot walleye on Fox Lake.
