Something tells me he may have a hard time with the insurance company on this one!

third!  12 inches of ice or more is plenty.  Again, just know where you are driving.

I don't drive on the ice with my truck, but I did ask my insurance agent who said if I have comprehensive coverage then it is indeed covered. Shouldn't ever have to use it since I use a sled or wheeler.

get it in writing, that you're covered, cuz insurance companies are known for bailing on their customers.  Friend of  the family was on the losing side of driving on the ice 6 years ago and they said verbatim "you were not driving on a public roadway, so we are not obligated to cover the accident"

The employment of effort, hard work, time, and energy put in locating fish will offend noone.

Out of curiosity, I called my agent who said it was not covered as it was off road.  Not even 4 wheeling off road is covered. Can't even buy supplemental insurance in Massachusetts for off road.  Anyways, that's what she said....

That would be bad if you had a loan on the truck that sank...

Don't know where the driver was from, but he got too close to the sandbar. He probably didn't know it was there, but the open water should have been a clue.........

Maybe if you read the whole thread or the accompanying article you would have had a clue....
