Just checked the seven day forecast (AGAIN) and if we can get through the rain on sunday,the lows are back in the teens monday and tuesday. Just made two new jiggin rods and can't wait to tryem

The river here has ice on it again which is always a very good sign, it all depends on the precipitation on Sunday, but the forecast looks good after that

I was hand-augering through 12-13 inches of ice last night near Mount Pocono... so bring on some warm weather!

Winter Weather Advisory tonight.. Thank you Lord! lol cold weather come back home to daddy! only bad thing is its still raining right now but then turning into freezing rain and sleet..

All right, all kidding aside... I thought this has been a pretty cold winter, compared to many recently.

I wasn't kidding about the ice thickness on Stillwater Lake yesterday. I was on Promised Land Sunday and that was really thick too. And I'm not talking crappy "snow ice" either... this is all grade A hard black ice top-to-bottom. Go and get some.

I can recall a few years back when my first trip of the year was the weekend between the AFC/NFC champ games and the Super Bowl. Best I can tell everything in the "ice belt" has been fishing uninterrupted for about 5+ weeks now (and counting).

Dizzy fished stillwater yesterday also, in the afternoon.plenty of ice but not much jigging,did manage 8 smallies 3 largemouth i perch on tipups hard to find water over 7 foot.

There is very little water deeper than 7 foot in that lake. One swimming pool-sized piece of 9-ft water just out from the dam overflow, and another 8-9 ft "trench" near the middle of the main lake... and neither location has produced fish for me through the ice. Seems to be a 4-5 FOW game there during the hardwater season, and good luck finding soft bottom.

the weather channle has flood warnings out for most of eastern PA.... pending on location there could be 2-3 inches of rain if some thunderstorms come through.

When I did my bus run this morning , all the farm ponds north of Lewisburg had many feet of water around them , ice floating in the middle . I would imagine that a lot of lakes look the same.

Jean got the same rain as most places did..... mostly likely same problems with water aroud edges
