If money is the issue,and its is run by the county and you are from luzurne county you most likely know where the money went.or should I say didnt go.the corruption in that county is beyond belief.all I can say is the people voted these people in with good trust and the politicians didnt hold up there end of the deal.just remember that theres power in numbers,if you do it right you can lure in a politician to help save the place and let him think he is the hero.this is a sad thing to be happening for all that enjoy it.so stand togeather and make sure it doesnt go to some developer on a shady deal if you know what I mean good luck

Good afternoon KP.

...Great ideas, Gillahollic and Nuangola.
There are plenty of good options out there, that would be good for
Moon Lake, and all of us that utilize this great park.
Maybe, even if they would turn it into a state park.
I just hope they find one, that preserves the park, and give us and our children all the opportunity
to visit it for the years to come. If it doesn't, this would truely be an outrage.
That park gives everyone in our area so many outdoor opportunities, and is so close to many of us.
That makes it such a great place to go to.
Another thing I am concerned about is, whoever runs it...if we still have the park.
The prices of camping, boating, swimming, and pavilion rental going through the roof.
Besides everything I had mentioned about the park, it was always reasonable for anything you wanted to
do out there. For one thing, you could never camp anywhere else cheaper. And the campsites are better and bigger than,
just about anywhere else in the area.
I truely hope our park will be only closed for a short time.

Hopefully if enough of us stand together on this issue, and some politician can come in and make it a priority
to save our park. We can have this place for the years to come.

there should be alot of hero's lurking this upcoming election time.I'm sure when the feds get done in luzurne they will come to lackawanna county,we need some cleaning up here to.I dint know how the rest of you feel but I think these people are getting off way to easy.and some just resign. not right at all we should go back to the old days and see how many crooks are left

Just want to make a correction, for my choice for the Rebel Get Together.
I noticed ICE REBEL mentioned the 2nd weekend of Feb.
I'm sure he didn't remember that, Rebelfisher, himself, and myself moved back our Irrondequiot bay trip
to that weekend, so a few other of our friends would be able to go with us.
With that said. I think I'm speaking for ICE REBEL, Rebelfisher, and myself...that the first Sunday
would be the day that would be open for us to go. We have our conservation club ice derby on the first Sat. of Feb.,
so that would be out of the question. in which ICE REBEL is a member too.
I do know that the 3 of us are in favor of having it at Harvey's.
I have no idea what's goin on with everyone else, but maybe if ya's wanted to push the date up to the last weekend in Jan.?
Does that sound good with the rest of ya's, or are you busy?

Got my first tiger musky through the ice. Jiiggin rod with 4# test and a panfish jig with a big fathead. I know it is not big but I was happy. It is all about fun.

It had cool colors. I bought the dangler this year. It works great . You can see when the bait is being chased. Make sure the drag is real light though.

They sell the dangler at cabellas. Yes it does balance the rod. I need to give him the boot because he broke my line right out of the hole. Then he clamped down on my thumb.

Like I said before. They work great as long as you have the drag set light. If not ,bye bye rod.

The Jimmy is OK for now. I am trying to get there in Feb. Maybe Swedish meatball and I will hook up by then. For now I am sticking close to home. Lots of lakes to fish, so little time.

A friend of ours up in Hamlin NY, that we've icefished with on Irrondequoit uses them too.
I'm gonna pick up a couple and give them a try. A local bait shop, in which the owner are very good friends
with me, Rebelfisher, and the IceRebel has some in stock that look to be pretty good.
From the way it looks, the 3 of us and Mickey(owner of the shop), his son, and his buddy are going to
be headed back up to Irrondequoit or one of the other area bays up there(depending on where the best fishing may be then),
to meet up with our friend that I mentioned up in Hamlin on valentine's day weekend. I will have my tip-downs with me for that trip.

Just want to let everyone know. Everything's good to go over on the other forum.
Butch had a hacker invade his computer, and we think that might have been the reason for the problem over there.
It is cleared up now. He has changed all his passwords, including the one to the site. We had 3 people that have had
forum sites for a number of years plus our forum host, do virus scans over on The Fishin Hole...and they all came back clean.
So, the site is good to go. For anyone else interested in somewhere else to go, and looking for something a little different.
