you got to know somebody to get on walters; right?
[/quote   Unfortunatly you do. Used to be when I was a teenager, many, many moons ago, you could access it from the east end. Then as usual the slob squads, started leaving thier trash. You know the story, ruined it for everybody. :%$#!:

Where can you park to get on Round and Clear lakes? I've heard about the condos but not exactly sure where they are or if parking is available.

Anyone know anything about Wall Lk?

Never fished it, but I believe it's stocked with walleye.

-I hear they honor both licenses but, michigan laws and limits apply.

The law applies for what portion of the lake you are fishing.  If you fish the MI side, then their laws apply.  I don't think it matters where the ramp is.  I've only fished in a boat through.  Not through the ice at George.

Anyone know anything about Wall Lk? We are working close to it and just wondered if it is worth buying a non-res license and hitting it after work.

It has some eyes in it along with perch and pike. I looked at it yesterday and some guys where fishing the channel

I dont know the indiana law on this but michigan law is for bordering lakes what ever state you hold the license in is the laws you abide by.

If you get on in Michigan you have to fish by Michigan law. 2 lines. limit of 25 sunfish
If all men were created equal. You would catch as many fish as me.

Any report on Little Long Lake?  We have a cottage there but we live in Ohio.  For those talking about the licenses in both states it is true that "residents" of either state can fish the whole lake with a resident license.  Be aware though if you are a non resident (like me) you need to have a license for the state where you are fishing, we deal with that issue on Long Lake as well.

Hello all!  Feels good to be back!

I will be driving around today checking the lakes but I do know as Polecat has said Snow Bay is locked up and Round is good to go.  Don't know about the others yet but I will find out today.  Santa came early last night as my father gave me a big box for Christmas and in that box was a new LazerMag with 10" auger!  WooHoo!

I will report back my findings from today so you who live outside of Steuben Co. will not make unnecessary drives.

Called Green lake.Use to goose hunt it all the time.Fished a few times but nothing worth talking about. It doesnt have a public access but if you know a land owner then its a go.Its a shallow lake with only a couple deeper holes.

People are just parking of from US 20 and walking out. It sounds about as dead as Loon Lake over by Crooked.

Fished Round last night and had about 3.25" of ice.  Should make plenty this week.  Clear Lake has no fishable ice as of yet.  Went by George and seen a few guys out there.  I think there will be better ice by this weekend as temps in the evenings up here are going to be in the lower teens.  Be safe.
