Jimmy Bob cooked up some good barbecue,and dem catfish is hittin good.

JM you're right about the difference in the temps, in respect to location; though I suspect a lot has to do with elevation. I bet the first night without wind that hits 19 will lock up Pine Tree.

Still going over the jigging rods, one at a time. With all the complaining on this site, no one should have any excuse for not being ready. We're on the home stretch now.

The cold seems to be taking its time getting here in central PA...... BUT it will be here soon i am sure BRING IT ON

I don't mind waiting even until the new year for good ice. I just hope it gets cold and stays cold and th eice stays to the end of march. I don't want no Jan-March rain.

Raining down here in the south right now... hopefully the snow you've got to be getting up on the plateau won't hurt the skim ice too much.

Mark, good luck with that; my wife has been on me for awhile to get it done, and I know she's right. Unfortunately; I have a huge deductible; so it will be out of pocket. Still warm and wet down here in the South. Waiting on a new cap for my truck in order to haul my tools for work, and yes the ice fishing gear.

Looking at at least two weeks, but hoping for safe ice by then. Sounds like possible locking weather by the weekend on the Plateau.

The current call for Promised Land is for five night straight in the twenties,starting Fri. Daytime highs in the thirties. That should get things started barring ripping winds. Lets hope it continues past that time.

Flew back through Denver yesterday and it was 9* F in the morning there!

Then we land in Newark at 6pm and it was 57* F
