When are we getting a moderator thats going to participate on this board ??
i mean cmon already its the same questions every couple days we need stickys and what not, plus we were supposed to vote on patches. some people put a lot of effort into promoting this web site and this is what you get for your trouble.

I love it. A member of this forum was trying to get an Icefishing Association going. He tries to use this forum to try to promote the very thing that this forum is about and most of the posts get axed within minutes. All of the other crap is allowed to fester for weeks....

makes sense to me.

please don't bother with the explanations as to why some posts are deleted, ect. I understand why they were deleted. It's just a bit ironic is all.

speaking of knurren and celebs...what ever happened to the alaskan adventure posibilities .my vote is going to the closest thing to a celeb and thats knurren regardless of his associations ..we all make mistakes he he

Some People do get busy with other obligations, However....if one is unable to do the job they committed to do they should step down and allow someone who is willing and able to take over. Just my .02c

Knurren would make a good mod, He has my vote as well if he is up to the task?

yeah good luck guys, i sent scott a personal message about 2 months ago. i thought it would be a good idea to have a forum for retail deals/sales, someone runs across a good deal somewhere post it and then everyone here that wanted to take advantage of it could. i thought it was a good idea, but he never even sent me a message of any sort in return.

I sent the admin @ ice shanty a pm reference our moderator or lack of after my son saw some inappropriate things on this board and this was the reply that I received from scott

Our moderators are not paid and from time to time must deal with life, he'll be back. I'll be adding more moderators as time goes by, can't right now as I am swamped during peak season.

although i agree it should not have been posted, your son followed a link, that was not iceshanty.
a moderator likely would not have caught it, they do not monitor the board 24/7 , nor could be expected to.
i agree sports should know better than to post inappropriate stuff, but they dont, then they defend there ignorance.
the most we can do is hit the report post to moderator

last time several months ago we had this go round and it was then pointed out by a Maine moderator,
this is not a democracy, moderators are not voted in, they are appointed by the administration.

not sure it anyone else was around when the guppyboy became moderator,but it happened like this.
a post was made offering the opening to anyone on the NH board.
guppyboy was the only one to poney up that i know of, he got the job, thankless that it is.
i have seen a lot of opinions on what should be and a lot of yik yak an ho hum
however i dint recall anyone volunteering to do all the stuff everyone thinks should be done

I don't think anyone is saying that guppyboy did not do a great job. I think that he did but no one has seen or heard from him in a while and I for one think that this board deserves someone that can or will put in the time.
