This is a friendly get together with a bonus of prizes. Shawn, myself, AJ and Auggie are not compensated in any way what so ever ... we are there to fish and have a good time as well.
We will be positioned at both ends of the lake and if YOU are close to us YOU can walk it over. If not than one of us will come over.

How thick is the ice up there? you guys can always make an exception to the rules and i could always bring me quad and make your guys life easier

i will also have a cooking station and beer station if anyone wants to stop by for a beer and burger. Just look for the 40 inch orange tip ups

haha 40inch? well at least you won't miss them even if it's a blizzard!!! And since it is a state lake and all I'm not sure about the rules, but I don't believe they allow 4 wheelers, not sure though. We were over there last weekend and the ice was 5 1/2-6 1/2 inches thick I do believe. And to the measuring question, LW is right. We don't get compensated in anyway and we are there to fish, so I won't mind walking to anyone out there as long as it's not too far from my tip ups, but if your down in the back end of the lake, I know I won't be making the trip out to ya haha. And there will be a "weigh in station" if you want to call it that, which will be where Team Mercer is set up, you will see our whole set up, big box, and possibly flag if it is ready by than, and there will be a release hole there as well.

I think the easiest way is for everyone if they can to bring their frs radios and a measuring tape and make a quick call. I know thats what i will be doing cause i will be were the fish are and im sure thats not around any of you guys hehe

The state park does not allow any vehicles on the lake.
AJ and myself will be at the back end of the lake and Shawn and Auggie will be at the front end of the lake.
Shawn will have his black shelter and his "wooden box" sled. I will have my blue Fish Trap.
If every one can bring an FRS radio we can communicate on Ch 8.

Just a note if you are fishing the WAY WAY Way back then you'll have to come to us. Because that is around 1 mile to 800 yards from the boat ramp. Just a note every one must park in the State Parking lot.

I am not part of this derby, but I would like to suggest a way to get your fish measured. Just bring a large bag that you can transport your fish in water like they do in major tourneys. You can even use a 5 gallon bucket, use your collective imaginations. This is just a "for fun" tourney, so if you don't want to kill fish and you can't find a way to transport them to measure station, just fish for fun. I hope I have helped in some way, good luck everyone.

We can't have an "official weigh station" due to state park regulations. We can go over and check entries and some can be brought to us.

exactly! a for fun tournament! thats the reason i fish is for fun! i, personally release all freshwater fish, thats why i was asking about someone coming to me to measure a fish so i didnt have to take a chance killing a fish walking it to a 'weigh station'. thanks for the responses.

wizzo - hide your beer at aeroflex, since we park in the state lot, your not suppose to have it.

iceguy92- i dont know if your gonna take county and township roads across from where u live, to the lake, but if your gonna drop down 287 south to 80 west and come up 206, then take US 206 North and turn right on limecrest road (sussex county 669) (first traffic light after you pass YOJ sports on your right.) take that road for like a mile and aeroflex road is on your left. there are signs for airport. as soon as you turn left on to aeroflex road, turn right into first parking lot and park there.

FYI this lake also referred to as 'New Wawayanda'
