OT: Open water pike question

Anyone ever try trolling with tubes like you would for stripers?  Seems to me like that could do some good but who knows??
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did so. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Didn't mean to kill any buzz i was just out after stripers this year and the idea came in my head that why wouldn't this work on pike, there are eels in most lakes.

i could see maybe using them in the spring time....a few weeks after ice out and after the pike have spawned. that time of year the pike are more concentrated in areas. my open water knowledge for pike is kinda limited, but from what i know is that during the summer, pike are pretty much loners....they don't school up or anything. but i could see yer idea working right after the spawn. give it a shot, worse comes to worse you wont catch any.

Trolling for pike can be fun. never tried tubes. I don't think eels are much of their diet around here.
