auger blade sharpeners

has anyone used the auger blade sharpener that strikemaster sells on their website? i was wondering if they work or if they are a waste of money

Check out this link. I just sent 2 sets of strikemaster lazer blades to be sharpened. I'll let you know how they come out.

If you're asking about the Gatco sharpener they offer, that's what I have used for knives for a few years now. It puts on a very even edge that you can shave with. I haven't needed to sharpen any of my augers yet but I have to believe it will put an edge on as good as Strikemaster can.

For my Mora blades.... it's only $5 more to get them sharpened and/or exchanged. Plus, if I buy my new blades at the end of the season sales..... it's the same price.
