Aqua Vu DVR
« on: Jan 10, 2009, 11:33 PM »
I picked up an Aqua Vu DVR, and found that real player and windows media play the clips. However, I can't fastforward or rewind the clip. Anyone know if there is a special player or something to do so I can fastforward it & edit the down time out of the clip?

if it records to the little cards, you could import it into a video editor and edit out what you don't want..

There should be an editor already on your 'puter..Windows movie maker on a PC or iMovie on a Mac...

I love my DVR, and both the unit and and windows media should allow you to ff and rw the video as that is the program I use with mine. I also downloaded Windows Movie Maker that will allow you to edit clips, add titles and such, here is a link to a couple of mine from my aqua-vu. Water clarity plays a bit part of the video quality

DVR is worth the purchase...that being said they use to only be $99 and my understanding is they are more then that now

It is likely due to the format that the video is in.  What type of file is it? (If you are unsure, right click on the file and click 'properties'. The box that comes up will tell you the type of file it is.)

A lot of times windows media player will not let you fast forward or rewind certain .avi files and usually all the time for .asx files.
