It should freeze solid pretty soon, it was -25 this morning and calm.

That is why I am on surfing the net and not fishing!

It might have happened last night, It was COLD here, as dorado said. It looks froze from the upper boat ramp and up-lake from there. The wind has been blowing off any ice on the lower part every day.

I went up to Fremont again today, looking for ice, there was still a strip of open water from the east shore to almost half way across the lake... :( :(   I hear people are leaving from the upper campground and fishing the upper lake but have not done it myself. Be careful out there.

Thanks Joe, knowing the ice is iffy and Fremont is 700 feet deep at one spot is enough deterrent fer me  :woot:  Don                                    LT/ISM

same gloomy situation here.  the ice on jackson lake was 8 inches thick in places a week ago, but the snow and warmer temperature have evened it out to 2.5 inches all the way across, with a good foot of very wet, standing slush on top.  the fishing is pretty bad, too, at least for me.
