sand bar champlain???

i fished years ago where there were telephone poles in the water only about 4 ft of water caught some nice pike there and across the breachway were a bunch of ice houses i beleive they were in deeper water fishing for salmon.......does this sound like the "sandbar" we stayed in burlington ,swiss host ...quit a ways away i remeber and got bait a place called rons

Sounds right Rons is no longer open. The old man has pass from what I have heard. I think you are talking about the spot across the street from the beach and you dont see much fishing there water way to low last I saw. Walk forever water still to low. You do see a bunch of ice sailers in that area now. The water does get really deep in that area but Im sure someone else could give better info from here....jim s

Yep, thats the "Sand Bar". Good pike fishing on the south side of the road, and good salmon fishing on the north side.

fishstalker is there ANY LODGING HOTELS RIGHT THERE IN THAT AREA??WE DROVE FROM BURLINGTON TO FISH THERE WOULD LIKE TO STAY CLOSER..

The closest Hotel would be off the Colchester or Winouski exit off 89. Its about 15-20 minute drive.

the ice is good a some pike were pulled yesterday.the telephone poles are gone but if you go about 300' from shore
in front of the pulloff your in a good spot.there's a lot of LMB so pickup a lot of bait.there's a bait shop just down
the road from Ron's its on Raymond rd you cant miss it Dockside's the name and you have to go by to get to the sand bar.
