Ice Anchor?

I made some ice anchors using pvc pipe. The question is how to anchor the rope to my FS Yukon. Do i drill holes and mount some i hooks? Also where do i position them. My thought is 1 on each side of the back. I would think putting the wind to my back would be the best way. What is a good length of rope to use as well. Thanks for any responses.
