Auger repairs in Anchorage
« on: Dec 23, 2008, 05:13 PM »
Does anyone know the best place to take my Jiffy auger to have a gas tank replaced and a tune up in Anchorage?  I thrashed it pretty good last trip.
I will work on getting the pictures posted to prove it.

Fishin Yeti,

I believe any small engine repair center would be able to help you out.  There is one in Eagle River I used to get another engine start handle for my Eskimo.  Eagle River Small Engine Repair 694-4906.
Good Luck

There's a place down king street in Anchorage, I can't remember the name but I think it's diversified small engine. It's right near the corner where Deweys' boat place is at. The same corner that takes you to Taku park. I've been in to talk to them numerous times on different things including my POS barricuda 2 stroke auger.

You can order replacement parts directly from the manufacturer, as far as a tune up the most you can do is a new plug, maybe new reeds for the intake, and the clutch can also be replaced very easy.   Some carbs have a intergrated filter sandwitched inside.    If you pay for the parts I can do it all for a case of beer?

Now that sounds like a deal Yeti!

I replaced a Jiffy gas tank about 4 years back after ordering through the company....  Great customer service and very easy replacement!
