Looking for suggestions in the Rockford area

Hi Everyone, My name is Kevin. I'll be working in the rockford area for the next couple of weeks and was looking for a few good lakes to try out, any info would be a great help. Thanks in advance- Kevin

Kevin... if you want to drive a bit north into the McFarland/Madison Wisconsin area... follow the US 51 north signs to lakes Waubesa and Mona, there are some good fish in there and should be enough ice.  A good place to start would be near the boat dock at the McFarland Dane County Park on 51
