A buddy of mine has a Ice Gator with a 6" nils bit . I believe he has the seeker , and it definetly lives up to its name. There was 12-14" of ice on the lake and 2 seconds tops he had a hole drilled. We drilled holes for two days , never running any where near out of power.
I have a strikelite and even with one start pulls being the norm , he can drill a half dozen holes by the time my auger is warmed and ready , he can then drill 2 holes to my one. I know a 6" bit is gonna be faster than a 8" bit , but not twice as fast.
Only drawback I can see is weight , its a few ponds heavier than my strikelite , but thats a small price to pay for an auger that never has to be started , or tuned up. No gas , oil mixing , no spilled gas in the shack becuse the gas cap wasnt tight. No getting to the lake to find you forgot to get auger gas . No summerizing every spring , no carb cleaning every fall. Just plug it in at night and drill away the next day , 2 hours and its fully recharged and ready to go......
