Welcome to Colorado!! Check out the Colorado DOW site. It lists fishing spots by areas, and the Denver area is it's own area. Lots of the areas are state parks and will require a daily fee. I avoid  I-70 in the mountains, on the weekends, too much ski traffic. To get up to Dillon and back on Thanksgiving weekend we spent over three hours stuck in traffic, at the Eisenhower Tunnel.       http://wildlife.state.co.us/ stay warm afishingfool
