« on: Jan 18, 2009, 04:11 PM »
:)Hey I was wondering if any of you know where I can get a ling mounted for my son when he gets the one he wants.    He wants to mount a ling because it will be his first fish on the wall.  Any info would be great thanks and good luck fishing.

fins and feathers in Lander does everything. but they are busy and it always takes about a year to get it back, but they are one of the best around

Robert Ray is the guy in danial and he does only cold water fish. he did a 44lb laker for me and it is awsome . fins and feathers is your worm water taxidermist but thay suck on lake trout thay do enuf thay should be good but thay are way better at worm water.ash

:)Hey wyoming ice, Fishley, and bbkyle35    thanks for the info guys.  I have had Robert Ray at Sublette taxidermy mount 6 fish for me and 3 for my dad.  He does a good job but takes a long time to get your fish done.  The last 3 I gave him took over 2 years to get them back.  He had a cool mount of a walleye up there quite a while ago he mounted and it looked great.  The problem is I had him mount a big bluegill for me and it looks great but he said no more not sure on walleyes his number is in the book Sublette taxidermy.

He told me he wouldnt mount anymore of them or even attempt to mount a ling even for $14 an inch.  That's what I paid for the last 3 mounts he did for me.   My wife still does'nt like to think about the last taxidermy bill as it was over $800.00,  that's one hell of alot of shoes in an average woman's world.  Good thing she does'nt buy to many shoes or the walls would be bare.  She keeps me on a short leash with the money, good thing I like to buy stuff and we would be living in a box if I controlled the check book.

I have'nt checked out fins and feathers but will check them out
