Ice fishing in and around Denver...Scary!!!!
« on: Dec 18, 2008, 01:45 AM »
Last monday we jumped around from body of water to body of water...

Ice was 3/4" thick to almost 2" thick...and very cloudy  :o :o :o

We both caught some very undersized perch...cigarette sized fish. ::) Donald got a helluva nice Cutty. Just over 16" FAT!

Tubes tipped with a waxie were the bait of choice today.

Be careful out there guys...our 1st step onto the ice this morning we went through...just calf high...but still...
A couple times today we were sitting in 2-3" of water... ::) ::)  :-X

(Donald's Cutty)

This Saturday b4 work i'm hitting up Chatfield.

Must be the hight altitude, 3/4 to 2 inches and you guys are fishing, crazy crazy crazy, I was out on Friday and we have 17 inches already, its was -36 C this morning with a -50 C windchill.  I rather be out in the cold and on good ice than warm and little ice

Nice cutty, never caught one yet but its on my list!

They taste like salmon! Really orange flaky meat. :)
