WI are you alive
« on: Dec 15, 2008, 08:13 PM »
Very quiet here in the WI section.  Anyone catching fish?????  Nice to have so much ice this early in the season for once.  Fishing has been slow on this end, but we have been catching some.

I am assuming we will be driving on the lakes here in the Central/Northwest this weekend.  Damn it is coooold.

Chat it up some boys.

Unfortunately, I haven't been out yet this year, but my FL-20 should be showing up any day and then you won't be able to keep me off the ice then!!

The 20 is an assume machine.  I bought one last year and love it.  The huge screen is where it's at.

Good luck and good fishing.

Yes, I do fish the river some. I used to fish Jersey Valley  quite a bit before that was killed off and drained. Now I either fish the river, fish lake redstone or dutch hollow (Near LaValle - Sauk Co.) or head north near Ladysmith.

Walleye Tattoo - did you happen to check out Castle Rock? Probably heading up this weekend and would like to get out by the buckhorn area for some crappies and perch.

I live in western Marinette county, where Forest and Oconto meet up with Marinette county.  I'm not to far from Cauldron Falls and High Falls.

I haven't gotten out, yet but have worked on my equipment six times.  I got bad legs and my friend Arthur and Itis are my constant companions so I wait until I can go with the ATV or my old jeep.  We have had cold weather but last week I checked landing 6 on High Falls by the Woods Creek outlet and the ice was wet from the creek mouth to the main channel on High Falls.  There was also slushy tracks from were someone tried to go on with an ATV.  We had more then a week of really cold below zero weather since then, but I can't say what the conditions are for sure.
