Lovely weather
« on: Nov 09, 2008, 08:53 AM »
Snow on the groungd here!  Current temp at 19 degrees.  Getting pretty itchy.  Probly head down to the mill pond and check the water.  Cant wait to drill the first hole.  Checked the 10-day though and plenty of temps in upper 40s and a couple days into the 50s so I dont imagine we'll have ice this week.  Though the temps at night are supposed to get down in th 20s every night so the water should be cooling down just nicely ;)

The snow missed us, but temp right now is still under 40 for the day at 2:40 pm and low last night was 22.   Been good for cooling those water temps off no doubt.  I am looking at early December for good ice.

Checked the mill pond here yesterday and again today at noon.  1/2 inch of ice yesterday morning and slightly more today.  Nice smooth clear ice though we probly wont gain much this week with the projected daytime temps.

Not seasons, months, weeks. DAYS

7 degrees huh.  I think they predict 18 here.  But Saturday starts another spell of high 40  degree weather. >:(  Not getting very optomistic about Thanksgiving.

Yeah, unfortunately, I don't think any ice we have is likely to make it through this weekend.  :%$#!:
