Extreme Gear

I've been wanting to get this posted for some time so tonight I had a chance to dig up all of the links. After a long time of freezing my butt off I set upon a mission to find clothing that I could stay warm in while fishing in almost any weather up here in Alaska. This is what I ended up with and it works for me down to -40. Seems like a lot of clothing to wear but this really isn't bulky. I don't like a lot of bulk, who does, and this was one of my goals when coming up with this system. I'm sure there are other products from other manufacturers that will work as well as mine but I will assure you that this system will indeed keep you warm and functional under almost any condition. There aren’t many days when I need all of this but if I do need it I have it. Not only does it work for ice fishing but almost anything that I do outside when it is cold. I have a different outer layer made of Gore Tex for when I go on a dedicated snowmobile trip but the base, mid, and insulation layers still work the same.

I'll leave gloves up to you to find your favorite pair. I prefer Wells Lamont but your mileage may vary.
