Aqua Vu Scout II

Anyone own a Scout II?  Whats been your experience with the lights, I just ordered one, but its not here yet, and I'm just curious about the lights?  says they can't be seen by the fish?  In 50 fow with snow on the ice, I assume its pitch black down there,  will the night vision work or do I need to buy one of those flood lights that clips on? 

Also, has anyone experimented with do it yourself video recording?  I'd like to record whats seen by the camera, but don't want to spend another $120 on the DVR system.  Any Ideas?

I have the Scout2. The lighting on it isn't very great for night viewing, should have some brighter lights on it. How much you see at night can also vary depending on whats in the water, clarity and etc. The fish can shurely see the light but they probably don't know what it is. Light can actually attract fish. I believe you can hook up a camcorder to the Scout to record video, however I havn't tried it yet.
