Hit my go to lake at 8:00 ,my little fishing buddy is not so little,he turned 23 today,I guess the fishing gods where smiling on him.He's turning into a great ice fisherman.Big party on the ice,lots of good food and a few cold ones,We fish out of the shanty,and fished 4 or 5 feet apart for the most part,same Gill pill on both rods,he's pounded them and I'm watching and smiling,remembering the first gill he pull through the ice when he was 5,time sure fly's.Well to make a long story short he spanked the old man,he must have caught at least 30 crappie and 15 giant bulls over 9 inches and 3 bass,Captain ended up with 20 some keepers mostly big bulls,we had a great day. We shared our catch with a couple of bud's that where not doing as well. I'll be back on the lake in the morning with my little buddy,time sure fly's.
