A small group of us went out on the river today fer a last day celebration, and hopefully some Walleye action. We sat for 2 hours without a single flag. Around 3:30 the rain started and a fog rolled in, the bite was on then. Started with 2 flags and 2 13" eaters, then back to BSing about everyones season. Next came a 12"er and then my buddy hooked the biggest of the day at a very decent 26.5".
A round of shouts and high 5s commenced when everyone made it to the hole. The biggest that came out of this spot prior was 22" between everyone. Soon after that we all started jigging, I managed to Ice a couple more eaters, and a slot walleye on a Tip up. The Jigging Shad Rap definitely out fished the regular raps, I hooked the only 4 jigging. My buddy even took my hole when I went for a flag, when that didn't work he snatched my jigging pole
We had a great final day with ten Eyes between 4 of us and one debatable wall hanger, I can't wait until May to bring the Rap Sticks back out.
Congrats to everyone whose seasons ended today and ended prior this year, I hope everyone made plenty of memories.
