Ty-Wrap Spring Bobbers
« on: Feb 13, 2008, 11:10 AM »

Finally got the pic to show up!!!

I have been playing with this idea in my mind for a couple of years and while I am house bound with the flu I figured it was a good time to see how it would turn out.

I tried to make this self explanatory in the way that I arranged the components in the pic.
The wire is 22 gage door bell wire, the dowel is 1/2' dia ( I like the eye to be bigger so that a small jig will pass thru it without having to cut and re-tie)The cement is called goop and can be found in auto stores.

The rod is what I call a "Marmish" style that I made and posted last ice season.
After trying it a few times I really like it for catching panfish.

If you have any imput I look forward to hearing it.

Winchester 88
Has the rain a father?
Or who has begotten the drops of dew?
From whose womb comes the ice?
And the frost from heaven, who gives it birth?
By the breath of God ice is given and the broad waters are frozen.
The waters harden like stone and the surface of the deep is frozen.

Great Idea !! :D

I'm gonna try it!
I'm gonna use the smaller type "zip tie" tho'.
I'll use it on a homemade rod that I made, & broke the tip-eye off of just last week. (Easier than repairing the broken off ti-eye) I'm thinkin.'
Thanks for the tip!
:)
