That was a poor call who ever decided that the ice was unsafe, there was plenty of ice 12" in the south end and there were guys all over the north end as well. It was disapointing not to be able to fish the derby this weekend and to find out about it late in the week. I would have like to help support the local rotary. I have since heard it has been rescheduled, but this is twice now...are they going to go for three...but i digress, fished regardless and did extreemly well on pike n perch, caught a nice 10.5# on saturday and a 7# on sunday. The perch were biting as well, lots of 10" fish.
It was still a nice weekend to be sitting on the hard water
