Head out to laker lake and weather report says it will get down to -19 overnight. So we decide its not that bad as we have slept in -24 before. Arrive and set up camp on side of road.
Then head to lake a couple kms away. I hook up with an eater within 20 mins....things are looking good

Then lands a beauty.
I then land a 36 incher...
Then I catch a smallish 4 lber that I didn't get a pic of. So we have landed 5 fish in an hour and 20 mins. We think we have hit a great spot.
Fishing died off that afternoon and no more were caught over the next 2 hours. Decide we had better get back to camp and get some warm grub.....here is the kitchen
. We just wrapped our food in tinfoil at home then can heat up on fire or stove like this.
You won't catch me preparing meals at -20 with no heat
Or dishes for that matter.
Next day we are up early as hard sleeping at -29.....what happened with the mistake at weather reporting
Head down to lake before sun up and nothing was hitting except the frost
The fish became very fussy and wouldn't take anything we offered them as could see them approach on Marcum follow lure for a bit then run off. No more fish for the rest of that day. All in all a good trip with some coyotes seen. Some loggers were coming down from a block they were cutting further up road and said to us we were crazy for camping out in these temperatures. Also mentioned that trucks would be on road waking us up at early hours (they didn't know I could sleep thru alot of noise). Seeing that that didn't phase us, one native sitting in front of one pickup said "Well you had better watch out for the wolves" I though about saying "Bye golly I hope to see some again because the last three I saw I took them on with my big knife, killed them and all I got was my eye ripped out by the biggest alpha male" He was looking at me kinda funny because I didn't have my eye in. But I didn't and said "We really hope to see some so I can get picture" He thought we were nuts I'm sure. Maybe half
